B. Addressable Detectors

There are two types of analogue addressable system those with ‘distributed intelligence’ and those with ‘centralised intelligence’. In systems with ‘distributed intelligence’, the detectors incorporate processors which can determine whether alarm levels of smoke or heat exist and can initiate action accordingly. Detectors in systems with ‘centralised intelligence’ monitor the air around them for smoke or heat and transmit the data to the control panel on interrogation. The processor in the panel compares the values with stored values and determines whether a pre-alarm or alarm should be signalled.

Any number of devices can be allocated to any zone ensuring that any system configuration can be easily accommodated. To ensure that the system is installed and commissioned with the minimum of trouble, it should be carefully planned before the installation is begun.

This involves allocating an address to each device and allocating a message of up to 40 characters (including spaces) to each address to assist in the location of the devices. Devices should then be grouped into zones in accordance with the appropriate fire detection systems design standard and building plans. The control panel can be configured using the switches on the front as described in the menu descriptions at the back of this manualor more comprehensively, using the Loop Explorer PC configuration utility and download lead which is available as a separate item. The control panel offers an extensive list of features and options for the control and monitoring of plant, equipment and sounders, which can be, configured via the Loop Explorer PC configuration programmer or the front panel controls.

04.Conventional Control Panels

It is a right blend of affordable design and quality with latest technology for fire alarm control panels. This microprocessor based conventional Fire Alarm Control panel, is designed to be used for small size commercial buildings and small scale industries. It has auser friendly standalone zones controlpanel, with optional zone wise Sounder/Contact respectively.

A conventional fire alarm control panel employs one or more circuits, connected to initiating devices (usually smoke detectors, heat detectors, duct detectors, manual pull stations, and sometimes flame detectors) wired in parallel. These sensors are devised to dramatically decrease the circuit resistance when the environmental influence on any sensor exceeds a predetermined threshold. In a conventional fire alarm system, the information density is limited to the number of such circuits used. To facilitate location and control of fire within a building, the structure is sub divided into definite areas or zones. Floors of a multistory building are one type of zone boundary.

05.CCTV Surveillance Systems

Closed-circuit television (CCTV), also known as video surveillance,[1][2] is the use of video cameras to transmit a signal to a specific place, on a limited set of monitors. It differs from broadcast television in that the signal is not openly transmitted, though it may employ point-to-point (P2P), point-to-multipoint (P2MP), or mesh wired or wireless links. Though almost all video cameras fit this definition, the term is most often applied to those used for surveillance in areas that require additional security or ongoing monitoring

Surveillance is the monitoring of behavior, activities, or information to influence, manage or direct. This includes observation from a distance by means of electronic equipment, such as closed-circuit television (CCTV). It can feature AI function with real-time face detection

06.Biometric Access Control Systems

In the fields of physical security and information security, access control is theselective restriction of access to a place or other resource while accessmanagement describes the process. The act of accessing may mean consuming, entering, or using. Permission to access a resource is called authorization.

Access control is a fundamental component of data security that dictates who's allowed to access and use company information and resources. Through authentication and authorization, access control policies make sure users are who they say they are and that they have appropriate access to company data.

07.Video Door Phone

Video door-phone (also known as video door entry or video intercom) is a stand-alone intercom system used to manage calls made at the entrance to a building (residential complex, detached family home, workplace, etc.) with access controlled by audiovisual communication between the inside and outside

Video Door Phones are intercom systems that are used to make calls from the entrance of a building so as to communicate with visitors without any physical interaction and engage with them only if you wish to. Video Door Phones not only increase home security, when integrated with the home automation system but also are of great convenience. If the Video Door Phones have a remote control it makes moving around convenient.

Video Door Phone’s are usually integrated with Access Control Systems. This is to allow access to certain authorized users with the help of cards, finger print sensors, keypad for pin numbers and Bluetooth. Video Door Phones should be potential enough to integrate with all the systems including-Access Control systems, Home Automation systems, Alarm systems etc

08.Fire Hydrant & Sprinklers Systems

Fire hydrant system is a safety measure or emergency equipment required in buildings that comprises a series of components that when assembled together provide a source of water to assist fire. The system consists of the following components: Water Supply & Storage Facility. Pipework & Valves. Fire Brigade Booster Inlets. A fire hydrant or firecock (archaic) is a connection point by which firefighters can tap into a water supply. It is a component of active fire protection. A fire hydrant is an active fire protection measure, and a source of water provided in most urban, suburban and rural areas with municipal water service to enable fire fighters to tap into the municipal water supply to assist in extinguishing a fire

Sprinkler irrigation is a method of applying irrigation water which is similar to natural rainfall. Water is distributed through a system of pipes usually by pumping. It is then sprayed into the air through sprinklers so that it breaks up into small water drops which fall to the ground. A system for protecting a building against fire by means of overhead pipes which convey an extinguishing fluid (such as water) to heat-activated outlets. Sprinkler heads are equipped with a glass trigger filled with a glycerin-based liquid that expands with temperature. As the liquid expands, it breaks the glass and activated the sprinkler head. These sprinkler heads are attached to a reliable system of water pipes that are typically built into the walls or ceiling

10.Fire Extinguishers

A fire extinguisher is an active fire protection device used to extinguish or control small fires, often in emergency situations. It is not intended for use on an out-of-control fire, such as one which has reached the ceiling, endangers the user (i.e., no escape route, smoke, explosion hazard, etc.), or otherwise requires the expertise of a fire brigade. Typically, a fire extinguisher consists of a hand-held cylindrical pressure vessel containing an agent that can be discharged to extinguish a fire. Fire extinguishers manufactured with non-cylindrical pressure vessels also exist but are less common.

There are two main types of fire extinguishers: stored-pressure and cartridge-operated. In stored pressure units, the expellant is stored in the same chamber as the firefighting agent itself. Depending on the agent used, different propellants are used. With dry chemical extinguishers, nitrogen is typically used; water and foam extinguishers typically use air. Stored pressure fire extinguishers are the most common type. Cartridge-operated extinguishers contain the expellant gas in a separate cartridge that is punctured prior to discharge, exposing the propellant to the extinguishing agent.

11.Public Address Systems

A public address system (PA system) is an electronic system comprising microphones, amplifiers, loudspeakers, and related equipment. It increases the apparent volume (loudness) of a human voice, musical instrument, or other acoustic sound source or recorded sound or music. PA systems are used in any public venue that requires that an announcer, performer, etc. be sufficiently audible at a distance or over a large area. Typical applications include sports stadiums, public transportation vehicles and facilities, and live or recorded music venues and events. A PA system may include multiple microphones or other sound sources, a mixing console to combine and modify multiple sources, and multiple amplifiers and loudspeakers for louder volume or wider distribution.
